K-9 Unit

The Foley Police Department K-9 Unit is comprised of one canine Sergeant that is in charge of the unit, two other officers, and their K-9 partners. This allows each patrol shift to have a canine working with them and at their disposal. Canine officers are on an on-call basis and are subject to call as needed. The K-9 Unit helps make the city of Foley a safer place for citizens and businesses by locating and seizing illegal narcotics/drug money, tracking/apprehending fleeing criminals, locating evidence, and conducting demonstrations of the unit's abilities to the public.
